On Tuesday, June 7th, 2022, we attended a private event held at The Back 40 Wedding & Event Center in Kernersville, NC. The venue is owned and operated by Eddie & Darlynn Nichols who were also the hosts of this event featuring Eddie’s band The Back 40 Band, Taylor Mason & James Vincent Carroll.
First off, this venue & property is both beautiful and unique. Back off the road and surrounded by woods, it makes the perfect little get away, that is really not that far from a major highway. Easy to get to and easy to get home from.
Several original to the property barns, workshop buildings, and some newer custom buildings that fit right in to the rustic farm themed look.
They held the main event in a modified tractor barn that now has a nice full cement floor, with tons of decorations and lights. It held about 50 or more people and a full stage for the musical entertainment to perform.
Right off that tractor barn building is a lovely, large grassy area that could be used for all kinds of events, games, or tons of seating area to face the barn as a little amphitheater. Nice and roomy and I think it would be perfect for any type of gathering, wedding or just family and friend’s party location.
The evening started off with beer, wine, and catered snack boxes that were very cool and tasty. Then Fast Eddie’s band, The Back 40 Band, took the stage. These guys are sharp musicians who love what they do. Just great tunes from a really tight and practiced band. If you are looking for a great sounding band for your own special event, backyard party or anything in between. These guys just made the evening fun.
The crowd loved them and it was hard to tell which group was having more fun, the band or the audience.
The real star of the show was actually “The Boss Lady” Darlynn Nichols, co owner and manager of the venue.
Everything looked perfect, and the event went off so smoothly. I have learned from being at many events that when everything goes so smoothly, and it looked effortless… That someone behind the scenes knew what they were doing, and did their job well.
So kudos to Darlynn and her crew, because this was a flawless event. One of the very few I have ever attended. We highly recommend this place for any type of gathering event you are thinking of having. Two very nice, down-to-earth people, who also have a beautiful event venue… Please check them out…
